BE HAPPY.....don't worry

2014.03.22

It seems that 5:30 am is my time to wake up these days. Then I have the urge to wake everyone else up too. The others in the house do not respond well to this and continue sleeping despite my best efforts. By 7:00 I had texted my nurse that I was awake. Not long after she came over to give me my morning jab. Then she suggested we take a walk to the bakery and get some fresh bread. Excellent idea. A refreshing walk and home with fresh bread before 9 am can't be beat. THANKS LINDA.

Then we drove into Stockholm and had a morning walkabout. We stopped at the world's best hairdressers, Soul, so my mom could get her favorite hair infusion stuff. Then we walked down Kungsgatan and ended up looking in and buying some stuff at Lexington. And we ended the walk at Digital Inn so I could leave my hard drive in to hopefully recover the data. (Won't know for a week and that will be tough.)

Home in time for a quick lunch of yesterday's leftovers which tasted just as good as they did the day before. Right after lunch we got a great visit from Peter's Mom and Kenneth who brought some delicious home baked goods with them.

A short walk was in order and then the obligatory nap before I started to do a bit of searching on the Internet for a possible house purchase in London. It is fun to look at the properties available. It will be hard to buy a house though until I can travel to London myself and that is probably not before June at the earliest.

I am feeling good and I am surprised but happy. I realize it won't last through the whole treatment of 6 or 8 cycles but I can hope. I am starting to have a bit of a dry mouth and sore lips and I need to take care of that.

Dinner was prepared tonight by Peter and my Dad. A great meat and potatoes dinner and we played "would you rather" during dinner. Many laughs ensued. Dessert coming up soon.

My friends checked in on me during the day and that continues to comfort and amaze me at the same time. LOVED.

GRATEFUL. LOVED. FRIENDS. SOUL. LAUGHS. FAMILY. KICK CANCER'S ASS.

  3. I'm an early bird too, know all about waking up at 5.30 and the rest of family snoring for many more hours before they get up. Good thing is you and I get a longer day and the afternoon nap is all the sweeter. London is my favest place in Europe, feels like coming home each time. Do you have a specific area where you're looking for a house? Wishing you a fabbo Sunday. Cheers! xxx

    1. Hi Eila, yes, getting up earlier does have its advantages. We are hoping to live near the kids school in west London. I am sure we will find something suitable. Cheers.
